This month, we are excited to feature Alp Ereren, a valued member of the Terry Town team whose journey with the company began at the young age of 12. Since then, Alp has built a rich legacy filled with memories, challenges, and personal milestones that have shaped both his career and personal life.

Alp’s first business trip with Terry Town took place in Nashville when he was just 12 years old. Accompanying his father, Sy, to a tradeshow, Alp surprised everyone by stepping up in a way no one expected. Rather than sitting off to the side, he grabbed a clipboard and started taking orders, impressing customers and helping secure several orders for Terry Town. It was a pivotal moment in his life—his first real airplane ride and the beginning of what would become a lifelong passion for business. He fondly recalls the excitement of the trip, the thrill of flying, and the special moments shared with his dad over great meals and good conversation.

Even before this, Alp’s connection to Terry Town ran deep. At just three years old, he participated in a robe photoshoot with his sister. He fondly remembers the studio experience and posing alongside her. After school, he and his sister would often play hide-and-seek in the warehouse, making lasting memories that he still cherishes.

One of Alp’s proudest moments at Terry Town came during the Pyramid Awards ceremony, when the company won five prestigious awards. Sitting alongside Esmeralda, Ray, Matt, and Sy, Alp was in awe as Terry Town’s name was called time after time, surpassing even the biggest names in the industry. He felt the work he had put into the submissions was validated, and bringing the trophies back to share with the team made the moment even more special.

Alp officially joined Terry Town in 2017, and since then, he’s embraced the ever-changing challenges that come with working in the business. He loves that no two days are the same, finding joy in solving problems and finding creative solutions. His favorite aspect of his role is working alongside his wife, Esmeralda. Their journey together began in 2019 when Esmeralda took him on their first date to the Cecut in Tijuana. Two years later, in 2021, Alp returned to that same spot to propose to her, marking a beautiful full-circle moment in their relationship.

Alp fondly recalls the late nights spent working on the catalog with Esmeralda and Kat, often staying past 11 PM and sharing laughter-filled moments. He also enjoys hearing Sy and Matt tell stories about the early days of Terry Town, reminiscing about the company’s roots. Though he misses Ray’s wintertime caroling, Alp treasures these connections with his colleagues, which have turned into lasting friendships.

Outside of work, Alp prioritizes spending time with family. He and Esmeralda love exploring new restaurants and cafes together, savoring meals as a way to bond over their shared love of food. Alp is also an avid soccer fan, often waking up early to catch Premier League matches. When he’s not watching soccer, you’ll find him enjoying his growing vinyl collection, which spans genres from 80s to psychedelic rock and Turkish rock music. Alp’s passion for records began in his childhood, influenced by his mother’s collection. In college, he invested in a record player and started ordering albums. Now, with over 500 records in his collection, Alp seeks out a record store in every city he visits. His favorite vinyl is an autographed album by Jet, which features their wedding song.

In his downtime, Alp enjoys simple pleasures like visiting HomeGoods, dining out with Esmeralda, and tending to his plants—activities that bring him peace and joy.

So, what’s next for Alp? He has big plans on the horizon, including a transatlantic trip aboard an ocean liner from the U.K. to New York and a cross-country road trip with Esmeralda, where they’ll explore boutique hotels and create new memories together.

His goal for Terry Town over the next five years is to cultivate a stronger, more connected community were coming to work is an enjoyable experience and where greater career opportunities are available to everyone in the company. He believes that building a positive community requires letting go of ego, showing respect for everyone, and to never make it about yourself.

Alp’s journey at Terry Town has been one of growth, dedication, and family, and we look forward to seeing where his next adventures take him. Thank you, Alp, for all that you do for Terry Town and for the warm, positive energy you bring each day.
