Meet Eva, a valued member of the Terry Town team for over 8 years. She initially joined Terry Town for its family-oriented culture and the fast-paced yet relaxed work environment.
During Eva’s interview, she shared her love for dancing. Sy, one of the interviewers, jokingly suggested she dance, and to everyone's surprise, Eva started dancing right then and there! She recalls Matt’s face turning red and Sy looking shocked. After being hired, Eva asked Sy why he had asked her to dance, thinking it was a test of confidence and following orders. Sy laughed and said, “I was just joking, I didn’t actually mean for you to dance!” but also stated that showed great security and confidence in herself. They still laugh about this moment today.
Eva loves traveling for work, even though it can be challenging. She appreciates the constant laughter and good times shared with her colleagues. She treasures how intertwined their lives have become, celebrating many important milestones together and supporting each other in life.
Her greatest accomplishment at Terry Town is the extensive knowledge she has gained in product development. Eva is grateful for Sy’s guidance throughout the process. Communicating with people from all over the world has been a huge challenge, but she feels proud of her "babies" when the products are finalized. Despite language barriers, the rewarding experience of seeing a product come to life makes it all worthwhile.
One of her most memorable moments was her first business trip to China, just two weeks after starting at Terry Town. It was an intense learning experience, and she appreciated Sy’s support during the trip where they went to many factories. She shares how every trip is different and filled with challenges and laughs.

Eva grew up in Dalian, a beautiful coastal city in northern China known for its warm citizens, incredible seafood, and European-style architecture. Her favorite Chinese tradition is the New Year celebration, where families gather for a huge meal, watch a four-hour Gala show, and enjoy dumplings with hidden money for good luck. The night sky lights up with impressive fireworks, creating a magical atmosphere.
Eva shared a cultural anecdote from her first birthday at Terry Town. In China, gold, silver, black, and white are funeral colors, reserved for death. She was shocked but amused when her colleagues decorated with a gold and silver birthday banner. For celebrations, red is the traditional color, symbolizing luck and happiness. On New Years, elders will gift children a red envelope with money as a symbol of giving happiness.
Recently, Eva has been enjoying Zumba classes and grocery shopping with her husband. On weekends, they visit three or four grocery stores in one day, hunting for the best deals with coupons and flyers. Her favorite is finding closeouts at Costco.
Eva’s journey at Terry Town is a testament to her dedication, eagerness to learn, and the joy she finds in her work and life. Her hard work and tireless efforts have been crucial in the creation of our product line. Thank you Eva for all that you do for Terry Town and for the beautiful products you have brought to us. You're an inspiration to us all and we are truly grateful to have you as part of the team!
